CARNOT, Lazare (1753-1823). French statesman and general.
Document Signed ('Carnot'), 1 page double folio with vingette of Bonaparte's first consulate, 19 Messidor An 8 [8 July 1800]. The document is countersigned 'Bonaparte' in a secretarial hand and by Hughes Maret, who generally applied the proxy signature.
A fine and attractive document, a little worn in the folds, granting a pension of 100 francs annually to Marie Louise Ducrot, widow of Claude Antoine Droy, a soldier killed in action.
