Autograph Letter Signed to Mrs ?Drey at Withington House, Manchester, 1 page 8vo on a folded sheet with address on the reverse, Coole Park, 16 November ?1912. Crying off his Manchester lecture on the grounds of his ill-health.
'... I have been ill, with a combination of rheumatism & indigestion, brought on by nervous strain of some sort & have had to come here for quiet. I have been very weak & quite unfit for work till the last day or two when I have begun to feel myself again, or something near it. I shall keep as quiet as I can. My sister told me of your new house which she thought most charming. ...'
