PARRY, Sir William Edward (1790-1855). Arctic explorer.
Autograph Letter Signed to Sir John Franklin, 1 page 8vo, Admiralty, 31 October no date. Sending him a bound copy of 'the accompanying volume', presumably one of his own accounts of his voyages, which were published by John Murray with the authority of the Admiralty.
'Altho' you will have have the accompanying volume in the regular course of the Transactions, pray add this bound volume to your library. ...'
Parry and Franklin had been knighted on the same day, 29 April 1829.
