MARGARET, Princess, of Connaught (1882-1920). Crown Princess of Sweden; granddaughter of Queen Victoria. Two Autograph Letters Signed ('Margaret') to Miss Gladys Thomson in Dublin, 6 pages 8vo with two envelopes, Malta and Stockholm, 12 March 1905 and 9 February 1906. A charming pair of letters concerning the two young women's engagement; the first a thank-you letter for Miss Thomson's good wishes on her engagement, the second a congratulations on Miss Thomson's similar plunge into matrimony. '... The best thing I can wish you is to be as perfectly happy as I am. ...'The Princess and her sister were among the most beautiful and eligible in Europe and her marriage to Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden (later Gustav VI) was a love match.
