ALBERT, Prince (1819-1861). Consort of Queen Victoria.
Signature on a fragment cut from a document, laid down on the remains of an album leaf, 10 November 1841. Printed on a separate fragment 'For the Queen / Foreign Office'. Together with a silk tasselled bookmark showing the Prince together with drawings of Rosenau, where he was born, and Windsor, where he died.
Assuming the date on the upper fragment to be the same this was signed the day after the birth of his first son, Albert Edward, later Edward VII.
