Letter (probably in his wife's hand) to Naylor, 1¼ facing pages 8vo, Hotel Beau-Site, 16 December 1913. Poignant letter of thanks for sympathy on his loss of sight.
'... I am afraid that I have to make up my mind that my sight will not improve but I hope that the little that I have left may fade away more & more slowly ...'
Pearson began to go blind in 1910 and in 1916 had to hand over the reins of the Daily Express to his successor, Max Beaverbrook.
