NAPOLEON III (1808-1873). Emperor of the French.
Autograph Letter Signed ('L. Napoléon') to the banker Macaire in Constance, ½-page 8vo with address-leaf (small printed description pasted to the head), Aremenberg, October 1832. Asking in what capacity he should signed an attached document (no longer included).
Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, nephew and heir of Napoleon, I was to be elected President of the Second Republic in 1848 and became Napoleon III in December 1852. He ruled until 4 September 1870.
