Document Signed, 1 page folio (oblong) on vellum, partially printed, with revenue stamps, Whitehall, 17 June 1773 (a little foxed). Signed also by two others. Appointing John Grundy of Spalding as Receiver General of parts of Lincolnshire in respect of the Land Tax. A Land Tax was imposed between 1692 and 1831, and was made perpetual in 1797. The usual rate was 4 shillings in the pound. [No: 5143]
