Autograph Letter Signed to F[rederick Stringer] Wrench, 1½ pages 8vo, on embossed House of Commons paper, 8 March 1887. Explaining that Hicks-Beach's advice will be the deciding factor in appointing the Land Commissioner, though Mr Goschen will speak to Arthur Balfour on the subject.
Hicks-Beach's advice must have been favourable; Wrench was appointed Irish Land Commissioner in this year.
