Two Autograph Letters Signed to Leon Lion of the Royalty Theatre, 4 pages 8vo (oblong), 6 Woodlands Terrace, Glasgow, no date and 23 January 1931. Asking whether it would be possible to produce "The Anatomist", and discussing the script.
'Last year you had a play of mine - "The Anatomist" under consideration ... you expressed, I think, some appreciation of it when you saw it first. ...'
'... Constables, who are printing the play in Spring, have a version in which I have tightened up the last act considerably & made the "Irish" of the second act more authentic. The version I am sending you was made, I think, after the Edinburgh & before the Glasgow, production. ...'
