PALGRAVE, Sir Francis (1788-1861). Historian.
Autograph Letter Signed to the printer and antiquary J[ohn] G[ough] Nichols (1806-1874), 1 page 8vo, on writing paper of the Public Record Office, 27 April 1861. Sending some papers (no longer present).
'... May my old friend Sylvanus Urbanas bring floreats - none of his offshoots & seekers equaled the old shark. ...'
A note on the conjoint leaf records that a reader's ticket for the Record Office originally accompanied the letter and that Palgrave died two months after writing it.
