Early Autograph Letter Signed to 'Miss Emily', 2 pages 8vo, Wellington Barracks, 'Sunday' no date. Thanking her for birthday wishes and hoping to see her after Christmas when he is to visit Scarborough.

'... Do go to see Mother. She [is] always so delighted to see you and it cheers her up.'

Sitwell served in the Grenadier Guards, fighting in World War I, where he claimed to have found his vocation as a poet.
