The search facility allows you to look for any word in our extensive stock, excluding only the obviously common ('it', 'and' etc.) or irrelevant ('autograph' etc.). Please let us know of any problems you encounter or enhancements that you would like to see. The best plan is to keep it simple (one really relevant word is ideal) and to be accurate. Recent attempts to find 'lawrance of arbia' and 'contantinopel' were doomed to failure.

Searches are not case sensitive, and are for all or any complete word(s) entered. The wildcard '*' may be used as usual if needed.

A search for Charles Dickens with the ALL option will find only those descriptions which contain both words (probably what you want).
A search for Charles Dickens with the ANY option will find any descriptions which contain either word (which will be rather a lot).

You may further refine the search by putting the search terms into double quotation marks ("). This will find only those descriptions containing the exact phrase entered.
