GEORGE VI (1895-1952). King of England.
Autograph Letter Signed ('Albert') to Mrs [Godfrey] Faussett, 2 pages 8vo (two filing-holes touching one word only, some traces of glue), Windsor Castle, 3 May 1916. A charming letter of thanks for Mrs Faussett's portrait of Neville and Georgina, presumably two of the Prince's dogs, praising the portrait and the clever way the joke about cows was included.
'..."Neville" is watching me writing this letter and he is very glad that you spent so much time on making two such excellent portraits of him and his future wife. ...'
