Photograph of Shaw with his secretary and biographer, Blanche Patch, Shaw seated at a clavichord with his secretary leaning over him. Signed by her on a white lower margin 'Blanche Patch with her chief. 1943', with a signature of Shaw pasted beneath.
The portrait, including margins, measures 340 x 265 mm (13 x 10½ inches). There are seeral small marks and a fold in the left-hand margin.
