Autograph Letter Signed to Maurice Cosner, 1 page 8vo, 14 Percy Street, 24 October 1950. With a draft of the reply in pencil on the reverse. Explaining that he had hoped to finish a new picture in time for an exhibition but had been prevented by ill-health, and mentioning other paintings.
'... Lady Melchett has a portrait I like which is, I think, not well known, although I think it was in the R.A. It is of Martin Conway who became Lord Conway later. I could borrow this no doubt if you think it adviseable - or admissable. ...'
