LANGTRY, Emilie Charlotte, 'Lillie' (1853-1929). Actress.
Autograph Letter Signed ('Lillie de Bathe') to A J D'Albani in Dieppe, 2 pages small 4to on black-edged paper with envelope, Le Lys, Monaco, 21 July, postmark 1927. Thanking him for a letter of condolence ('your feeling letter') evidently following the death of Sir Hugo de Bathe.
'... I was with him all the last months & I am thankful to say he did not suffer. He had many friends. The King [George V, son of her former lover] sent for me to Buckingham Palace & gave me a private audience of nearly an hour. ...'
