CHARLOTTE, Queen (1744-1818). Queen of George III.
Charming Autograph Letter Signed to the Countess of Harcourt, 1 page 16mo on decorative paper, with address leaf (traces of mounting on the latter), 6 November 1813. Sending some face powder, which she believes to be safer than that which the countess has been using.
'I send you some Powder for your Face, the same I use myself being Pure without any mixture & goes by the Name of the Queens Powder, it is certainly dearer than what you commonly Buy, but not being adulterated may always be used without fear. I name this as what you commonly buy is generally mixed with Lime & dangerous to use it.'
