SULLIVAN, Sir Arthur (1842-1900). Composer.
Autograph Letter Signed to Ponsonby, 2 pages 8vo, 47 Claverton Terrace, Pimlico, 15 August 1870. Regretting that he cannot work at Canterbury, commenting favourably on a performance of Cox and Box, and enclosing a letter from Morton.
'Although it is a matter of great regret to me that I may not work at Canterbury as an O.S. I am nevertheless very pleased to help where there are so many pleasant fellow labourers. The performance of Cox & Box alone was worth any amount of trouble. ...'
