MAUGHAM, William Somerset (1874-1965). Novelist and playwright.
Two Typewritten Letters Signed to Mrs Whitemore, in all 2 pages 8vo, Villa Mauresque, St Jean, Cap Ferrat and The Dorchester, London, 25 February and 9 December 1952. Mis-spelling her name ('Mrs Whiteman'), Maugham expresses gratitude for her letter and offers to sign her autograph book when he comes to London; in the second letter he apologises for the mis-spelling and reiterates his offer.
