BRUCH, Max (1838-1920). German composer.
Autograph note, signed in full, on both sides of his printed visiting card, to Mrs Henschel, Breslau, 31 December 1885.
Evidently to the wife of George Henschel, saying that Mr Thayer [probably Alexander W., the American musicologist] has sent presents for her, for 'my Clara' [his wife, the singer Klara Tuczek], and another person. 'In the New Year as in the old I remain devoted to you and your dear family.'
Bruch lived and worked in Breslau from 1883 to 1890.
[No: 21640]
