DICKENS, Charles (1812-1870). Novelist.
Cheque completed and signed in favour of Mr Holt for £8 6s, drawn on Coutts & Co, London, 19 November 1861. In an old frame (unexamined out of the frame), but in good condition and could be easily removed.
The name 'Holt' is not to be found in the index of the twelve-volume Pilgrim edition of The Letters of Charles Dickens.
