MOSCHELES, Ignaz (1794-1870). Bohemian pianist and composer.
A.MusQ.S. of five bars for piano on two staves, dated at Leipzig, 22 August 1847, 108 x 178 mm. (4¼ x 7 inches). The piece is headed Fragment eines musikalischen Kinder Mährchens (Fragment of a musical children's story).
Moscheles was to become leader of the Leipzig conservatory after the death of Mendelssohn, which occured on 4 November of this year, 1847.
