Autograph Letter Signed to Cherubini ('Cher & illustre Maitre!'), 1 page 8vo with address-leaf, 'Mardi matin', no date. Deeply regretting that he would be unable to attend the Conservatoir as Cherubini had suggested, but hoping to see him on Saturday when he will explain what prevented him.
A fine association. Meyerbeer writes to Cherubini as Directeur de l'école royale de musique (the Paris Conservatoire), the position he held for twenty years from 1822.
