Full blue calf, gilt, rather worn, inscribed by Montgomery to Lieutenant-General (Sir) Brian Horrocks - 'To: Jorrock / who played no small part in the events recorded in these pages', Berlin, 6 January 1946.
Signed also by Horrock on the front paste-down, opposite Montgomery's inscription.
A well-read (by Horrocks) copy of a very rare publication. Annotated throughout by Horrocks, largely by underlining key phrases. Some of the fifteen pull-out maps torn, and the cover a little rubbed.
