Autograph Letter Signed in French to an unnamed correspondent, 2 conjoint pages 8vo, New York [dated in pencil in another hand 14 December 1907]. She suggests a meeting on the Saturday.
'As soon as Louise is finished I shall be happy to see you. Friday is the premiere... .'
After making her name in Charpentier's Louise Mary Garden created the role of Mélisande for Debussy in 1902. She sang in the New York premiere of Louise on 3 January 1908.
