PALMERSTON, Henry Temple, Viscount (1784-1865). Prime Minister 1855-1858 and 1859-1865.
Autograph Letter Signed to [Lord] Raglan, 1½ pages 8vo, note at the top dates the letter at 11 January 1853. Sending a letter (no longer present) which explains why he and Hardinge had appropriated one of Raglan's office rooms.
'... We propose to have monthly meetings and to get Graham to meet us with his Admiralty information.'
Palmerston refers to Sir James Robert George Graham (1792-1861), at this time first lord of the Admiralty.
