Autograph Letter Signed to 'My dear Will', 2 facing pages 8vo (some slight staining) , Groote Schuur, no date. Declaring that he had not heard 'as to payment of your expenses re ?Linchive concession', and remarking that he had heard that Smith is not doing well.
'... I hear that at Upington where I understood registration was so good he only had his proposer and seconder. I however must leave matters in your hands as Smith is your selection.'
