Autograph Letter Signed ('Louis Battenburg') to 'Dear Thomson', 2 pages 8vo (signature spilling onto the third page), London, 14 October 1894. Evidently replying to a request from a fellow officer for a position at sea.
'... I commission the "Cambrian" for the Mediterranean on Tuesday 16th at 3 days notice. All my officers are appointed. If you send in an application for further service, let me know & I will apply for you.'
