PAGE, Sir (Frederick) Handley (1885-1962). Aircraft designer.
Autograph Letter Signed ('Yrs ever / H.P.') with autograph superscript to the painter F[rank] O. Salisbury, 1 page 4to, Claremont Road, Cricklewood, 18 April 1958. Thanking him for the 'wonderful memento of your skill'.
Though there is no known portrait of Page by Salisbury, he was instrumental in having a portrait of Sergeant J. Flint painted in recognition of his being awarded the George Medal and the Distinguished Flying Medal.
 A note in Salisbury's hand at the bottom of the page reads: 'The Aroplain (sic) Factory'. War Industry / Government Request / 1943. Evidently a reference to the picture to which Handley Page alludes.
