SUTHERLAND, Graham (1903-1980). Painter.
Autograph Letter Signed and Typewritten Letter Signed to Jeremy Hyman, 2 pages 8vo (a little worn and soiled), Trottiscliffe and Mention, 16 October 1975 and no date. Referring to a painting bought by Hyman which was confirmed to be a fake, regretting that he could not get full compensation, and offering him future paintings at a discounted price.

'... Meanwhile, later, I should be pleased to let you have something at approx 1/2 the price charged to the public. When I say 'later' this is because, as you may know I have just given a large body of my work to Wales (Picton Castle Trust in Pembrokeshire) and the 'cupboard' at the moment is somewhat bare! ...'
