HASTINGS, Warren (1732-1818). Governor-general of India.
Document Signed, 1 page folio (strengthened at the edges on the reverse), Fort William, 23 December 1778. A certificate (numbered 34 of 1778/9) to the effect that Robert Dalrimple of the ship Mount Stuart had paid out 1,994.13 rupees 'on his Indulgence', which was therefore due to be repaid to him by the [East India] Company.
Signed also by three others.
