Autograph Letter Signed to Miss Horner, 1 page 8vo with blank leaf, 31 Tite Street, 'Saturday', no date. 'I am so very sorry to have made an engagement that prevents my accepting your kind invitation to lunch tomorrow'.
Sargent's correspondent is perhaps Frances Jane Horner (later Lady), 1854/5-1940, hostess and patron of the arts.
