Granting to Sir Daniel Macaulay Stevenson a licence to wear the insignia of a Grand Officer of the Order of the Crown of Italy. Sir Daniel Macaulay Stevenson (1851-1944, civic administrator and philanthropist, baronet) had become proficient in French, Spanish and Italian early in his business career. In the second World War he served as convenor of the central executive council for the supply of coal to France and Italy, and was decorated by both governments for his war work.
