KIPLING, Rudyard (1865-1936). Author.
A pair of unusually large and bold signatures, both dated 6 March 1913 on the reverse of a sheet of writing paper from the Luxor Winter Palace, Luxor.
This was Kipling's first visit to Egypt. Given his well-publicised reluctance to give his 'autograph' the purpose of two such signatures on a single sheet remains something of a mystery, as they do not appear to have any official purpose.
