'That is delightfully arranged, and will give me pleasant work forward through the intervening days.
 'I shall come to you in a more than usually submissive tone of mind - having been a good deal oppressed lately by the sense of the uncultivable grain of our lower English.
 'Ever faithfully & heartily yours / J Ruskin / Matthew Arnold Esq.'
