Autograph Letter Signed to Mrs Hughes, 2 pages 8vo, Christmas Day 1826: apologising ('[I] have only to plead in my excuse the wandering & desultory life I have led since we met in town. I have too in that short interval lost many old & dear friends. ...'), and sending good wishes to Dr Hughes.
Scribal letter to 'My dear friend', 1 page 8vo (wrinkled), 13 August 1850: 'What can I say - what can I do in answer to your beautiful letter! I cannot describe the pleasure it gave me. ...'
Autograph Letter Signed to Mrs Romilly, 1 page 8vo with blank leaf, St James's Place 'Friday', no date: offering to take her to the Gallery along with his sister and his niece.
Autograph Letter Signed to Sir Robert H[arry] Inglis (1786-1855, politician), 1 page 8vo (laid down in a folder with a portrait of Rogers, and the address-panel of the letter): inviting him to breakfast and to meet Lady Ruthven.
Autograph quatrain commencing 'Oh! She was good as she was fair ...', 1 page 8vo (oblong), signed and dated 13 May 1839. An address-panel to Aug[ustus] Keily with the same date attached to the reverse.
Autograph instructions signed to a printer ('Pray print the Inclosed on a single page ...), on a small oblong slip laid down, 23 July 1838. [The unrelated fragment on the reverse of the mount appears to be in the hand of Joseph Wolff (1795-1862, missionary and traveller].
