LAWRENCE, T.E. (1888-1935). 'Lawrence of Arabia'.
Autograph Letter Signed ('T.E.S.') to B[ertram] T[homas], 1 page 4to with envelope, 'Tuesday' (postmark 14 August 1931). Explaining with regret that his engagements the following day would make it impossible to coincide, and telling Thomas how much he had enjoyed his visit to London.

'... Sorry, but I have one job to do which will take me till noon, and another to begin by 1.30. The time-interval is too little to let you compass the space-interval and see you in comfort.

'My plans are to depart from London tomorrow, if I can get away. I have much enjoyed myself, and spent all my money: and enough ..... [Lawrence's dots].

'We shall meet somewhere, some day; and my address is Plymouth till then.'
