VICTORIA (1819-1901). Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
Document Signed ('Victoria R'), 1 page folio on strengthened paper, with papered seal, given at Windsor, 10 July 1854. Slighted spotted. Appointing Lieutenant-Colonel Eaton Monins to the rank of major general in the army. Countersigned by Fox Maule[-Ramsay], second baron Panmure and eleventh earl of Dalhousie ('Panmure'), secretary of state for war.
The document is signed 'Victoria R'. The queen did not sign 'Victoria RI' until 1876 (?May).
