SAUMAREZ, James, Baron de Saumarez (1757-1836). Admiral
Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent, 1 page 8vo, London, 8 May 1833. Promising to recommend ('as stongly as is in my power') that Sir Pulteney Malcomb take him under his command, and that he will do so as soon as Sir Pulteney and Mr Edge return from Deal.

Malcomb was at this time commander-in-chief in the Mediterranean.
