Autograph Letter Signed to Miss Gordon, 2 pages 4to, as from Rutland House, 41 Davenant Road, Oxford, 3 January 1957. Thanking her for her reminiscences of Edith Reed (probably Edith Margaret Gellibrand Reed, 1885-1933).

'... She would set off on long walks & when she came to a likely place to spend the night would knock & persuade them to take her in. I have known her, on coming to a river & finding no way across, just to swim it, then go on with dripping clothes. ...'
