Stead, editor of the Pall Mall Gazette, 2 pages 8vo on black-edged paper, House of Commons, 6 February 1884. Declining Stead's request to write an article 'owing to the extensive nature of my engagements'. The letter is written on the first and fourth sides, leaving the interior blank, a little soiled.
