SEQUIN, Armand Jean Francois Séguin (1767-1835). French chemist & physiologist.
Autograph Letter Signed in French to 'Monsieur le President', ½-page folio, no place, 4 May 1818. Sending a written tribute (no longer present), as authorised by the academy.

Séquin made a fortune by inventing a new method of tanning and selling immense amounts of leather to Napoleon'a armies.
