Autograph Letter Signed ('Rudyard Kipling') to Spring-Rice, 1 page 8vo, Bateman's, Burwash, Sussex, 16 June 1926. In answer to a query as to whether he had ever mentioned daffodils.

'The only difficulty is that the verses don't begin with a daffodil (Mr W. didn't either). They are called "Cities & Thrones & Powers" & are both in Puck of Pooks Hill & in "Collected verses". ... Have met another man who has met House and, doesn't seem to like him. Strange! ...'
