Document Signed, 1 page folio (trimmed at the right hand side barely touching the signature), Whitehall, 30 October 1744. A petition addressed by Charles Compton, (c.1624-1661, envoy extraordinary the Portuguese Court), for the payment of specific expenses (the pence, if any, trimmed away) between 17 February and 17 May 1744.

The specific expenses are for 'Pen, Ink & paper £20 / Postage Letters £25 / [and most especially] Intelligence £30'.
