BEAVERBROOK, Max Aitken, 1st Baron (1879-1964). Newspaper proprietor.
Typewritten Letter Signed ('M.B.') with autograph postscript signed 'B', to Lady Anderson, 1 page 4to, Waldorf-Astoria, New York, 28 September 1946. Expressing distress at her recent illness, but assuring her that in Canada 'The prairies, the maples and the weather are a cure for all evils', promising to send her a lipstick, and remarking on Eden's speech.
The postscript reports that he is leaving for St Andrews on the following Monday and will be there for a month.
