Autograph Letter Signed to an unnamed correspondent ('Chére Amie'), 1 page 4to (trimmed), 'la grange 11 Novemb.' no year. A discussion of his entertaining various children, including his goddaughter and the children of the American consul, one of whom has caught measles; mentioning the 'duchesse de Berri' and 'dupin, le ministre doctrinaire'. The conclusion of the letter suggests that it was written to a friend with whom his daughter was resident or visiting: 'je prends la liberté d'embrasser ma chere fille de tous mon coeur'. [No: 7886]
